It's a Paradox: A Battle within that has to end.

Writer: Phyllis WigginsPhyllis Wiggins

Now then, it is no more I that do (the things I hate), but it's the sin that dwells in me. For I know that in me dwells no good thing: for to will is present with me, but how to perform that which is good (my will) I find not. For the good that I would, I do not; but the evil which I would not, that I do.

Romans 7:15-25 (paraphrased).

Wow! what a contradiction. Can you relate to Paul's dilemma? What he is describing here is the battle all humankind experiences. The Spiritual man (within) is in constant battle with the fleshly man (outside) to come forth and perform in righteousness--not of the law but of the Spirit that leads and guides us.

Here's where the Imposter Syndrome comes in...If the Spirit of God, therefore, leads us, then we are the sons of God. However, when others look at you (including you), they still see you. Believe this--You're being transformed, and nothing can stop the process, NOTHING. Just continue to show up (here on my blogs), train well, and you will see your battles get easier because you are winning.

I see a FIGHTER in you. Allow the Holy Spirit of God to be your Trainer along with your Pastor, and you'll see it too!

Devotional scriptures: Romans 7:15-25; Philippians 2:13; Romans 6; Romans 8

(Note: If you do not have a church home, I encourage you to find one. Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to lead & guide you.)
